With New Year’s Eve already here, it’s a good time to look back over a busy year of fruit machine maintenance – and the departure of a dear friend, who deserves one more mention before the year is out.
Our fruit machine maintenance has several aims – to keep all of our different gaming machines running at their best, but also to try and keep them in good working order for as long as possible into the future as well.
Balancing the short term with the long term is all part of the challenge, and of course to make sure the service is economical, it’s important to know when to let go of gaming machines that are simply too costly or difficult to continue repairing.
That brings us to our much-loved (and very, very well-played) Bar 7 slot machine, which was based in an arcade in Preston for whom we handle fruit machine repairs and maintenance.
In this instance though, even we had to concede that Bar 7 needed to go to the great fruit machine repair shop in the sky – having been played far longer than most machines of the type, and after taking so much money, the falling coins had worn holes into the wood of the cash box.
When a veteran gaming machine goes beyond economical repair it can genuinely be a sad moment – but with our fruit machine maintenance contracts, we can at least give each of them a good innings.
